Sun/Moon 9° 35’ Scorpio
Overview
This New Moon is calling us to bravely move into the darkness of our own underworld, the shadow of our psyche, to face the Minotaur that resides in our own minds. We can no longer hide in the labyrinth hoping to remain undiscovered by the monsters who reside within us. The monsters I speak of are our fears-the fears that keep us imprisoned and unseen.
Vulnerability requires an immense amount of courage and trust.
Do you trust yourself? Can you gaze into the depths of your shadow without turning away? Can you confront your past while embracing self-compassion?
Scorpio
In my astrological paradigm, Scorpio is ruled by Pluto, the traditional god of the underworld. The idea of the underworld or a hell has become stigmatized in modern culture. This is the place where all the “bad” people go and we must avoid it at all costs. We have been taught to hate the shadowy world and all that goes with it-including what lurks within our own darkness.
We have also been conditioned to fight and fear death as if it is not a natural part of life. I am not minimizing the pain that is associated with death, simply bringing awareness to the truth of death as a part of life on this planet. When we deny, fear, or reject the darkness within our own selves, we miss out on the fullness of the human experience.
Intercession
Most of the major faiths of the world carry some version of the concept of intercession. Intercession can be described as praying or pleading for the betterment of another person or situation. Four steps of intercession are: to be informed, to become inspired, to recognize incongruence, and to realign.
The current intensity is palpable; it carries a sense of urgency for change.
Where have recent ah-ha moments and oh-that-makes-sense-now insights been coming to you?
Where are you recognizing that the puzzle pieces don’t seem to fit together in a coherent picture anymore?
Where are things misaligned between your inner Truth and your outer expression?
Where are you exploring new ways of relating to what Truth you value?
And what new actions can you begin to take to promote your future reality?
At times, this urgency for action can be expressed as anger, yet there is a purpose behind it. The word indignant means to express anger at a real or perceived injustice.
Where are you being unjust to yourself?
What if our Souls could express indignance at the way we treat ourselves-with the lack of remembrance of our sacredness, with the disdain and shame that does not belong to us, and forgetting that we contain the essence of divinity?
We are being asked, as the Collective Soul and as individuals, to remember. Re/Member: put together again.
Intercession is occurring on our behalf. The time of Individuation is near.
Do you dare to silence the noise and listen to the guidance of your inner knowing? Will you embody the courage to confront what is hidden?
